Chelsea loanee of Nigerian descent impresses on full Eliteserien debut for Rosenborg
Published: June 25, 2022Chelsea loanee of Nigerian descent Bryan Fiabema impressed on his full Norwegian Eliteserien debut as Rosenborg registered a 3-1 win over Kristiansund at the Lerkendal Stadion (Trondheim) on Saturday evening.
The Blues development squad top scorer for 2021-2022 with eight goals is spending the entirety of the 2022 Norwegian season at Troillongan.
Prior to today's fixture, the Norway U19 international had made only one start for Rosenborg, in a NM-Cup clash versus Verdal IL on May 19.
Three days after netting his first goal in Rosenborg colours after coming off the bench, he was rewarded with his first league start of the season.
Although Ole Sæter stole plenty of the headlines with a hat-trick, the highly-rated Norwegian-Nigerian did not waste the opportunity to impress.
Four minutes in, Fiabema was involved in the build-up to Rosenborg's opener when he found Holse with a brilliant pass and the Danish striker set up Sæter.
In the 47th minute, Sæter bagged his hat-trick, slotting home the rebound after Fiabema's effort was blocked.
The Kristiansund defence struggled to cope with Fiabema's pace before he was replaced with fifteen minutes left.
