Top Dribbler, Most Fouled Player : Ola Aina Holds His Own In Battle Of Chelsea Loanees
In his first full game since recovering from injury, Ola Aina impressed as Torino were held to a goalless draw by Serie A giants AC Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday evening.
The AC Milan starting line-up contained France international Tiemoué Bakayoko and the Super Eagles star held his own in the battle of two Chelsea loanees.
Aina received a lot of praise for his performance against The Rossoneri and the statistics from OPTA back up the accolades he got from the away fans and Chelsea supporters.
The 22-year-old has more offensive qualities than defensive and that was shown against AC Milan after drawing three fouls, a joint game high along with Milan pair Gonzalo Higuaín and Patrick Cutrone, and teammates Soualiho Meité and Andrea Belotti.
The Nigerian completed three-take ons, more than the remaining twenty-five players in action.
If Aina's performances for Torino in the first half of the season are anything to go by, the wing back is a certainty to be included in the Super Eagles squad for next summer's Africa Cup of Nations after he was left out of the traveling party to Russia.
