As part of activities marking the 2nd year birthday of Wealth Etebo, the son of Oghenekaro Etebo, the moving train of EOPF on February 7, 2019 extended its gesture to Kings Kids Compassion Orphanage Home, Bendel Estate, Effurun, St. Anne's Orphanage, Enerhen Road, Effurun, Catholic Old People's Home, Warri and the Widows Of Fallen Officers in the Nigerian Police Force Area Command and 3 Battalion, Nigerian Army, all in Delta State, the team was led by the wife of Super Eagles star Mrs. Etebo Bethel and the birthday boy Wealth amongst others.
200 tubers of yam, 192 pieces of tin tomatoes, 30 bags of garri, 10 bags of rice, 10 bags of salt, 50 cartons of noodles, 50 cartons of tissue papers as well as provisions including beverages, milk, spaghetti, groundnut oil, corn flakes and toothpaste were distributed to the five places visited.
Other items distributed are toiletries including soaps in different forms and 200 pieces of note books.
In separate remarks, the beneficiaries appreciated Etebo Oghenekaro Peter Foundation and prayed for God's favour on its principal Etebo Oghenekaro who plies his trade with Stoke City Football Club in the English Championship.
Super Eagles midfielder and founder EOPF, Etebo Oghenekaro said the need to give back to the society is imperative as highlighted in the vision and mission of his foundation.
He said : "I love to stress the fact that government at all levels cannot meet all the needs of our people, hence the need to assist in my own little way, I'm not doing all these to get any form of attention, I just believe there is need to give back to the needy in the society".
The Rio 2016 Olympics bronze medalist added that "Considering the death of so many heroes of our country who died during the process of trying to get rid of Boko Haram insurgency, the widows and families they left behind are definitely in need of our support''.
