It has come to light that all is not well with Nigerian defender, William Troost-Ekong, with his latest omission from duty justifying the injury fears which emanated last time out with Udinese.
The Super Eagle was not included in his team's match day squad that held AC Milan 1-1 in their Italian Serie A clash at the San Siro yesterday, something that is rare and will surely prick not just the mind of his club handlers but as well that of his national team manager, Gernot Rohr.
Prior to yesterday's game, Troost-Ekong has started each of his team's topflight games this season, going the distance in all but one of them.
Udinese director of the technical area, Daniele Pradé had earlier informed that the Nigerian cropped an injury in their penultimate game last weekend, and was understandably not deemed fit for this one.
It is unknown the degree of the injury as club manager Igor Tudor has yet to comment on his current health status.
Meanwhile, his compatriot, Stefano Okaka has earned impressive plaudits from the manager for his defensive input after coming on in the draw with Milan.
