Super Eagles defensive midfielder Mikel Agu was asked to name his top four defensive midfielders in the world right now during his Instagram conversation with the Super Eagles Media Team on Friday.
Though he was prompted by the interviewer to include Wilfred Ndidi on the list, Mikel stood his ground and omitted the Leicester City ace.
"I'll pick Casemiro, N'Golo Kante, the short black player in Paris Saint-Germain Idrissa Gana Gueye, then the last for me is the Liverpool captain, Henderson," Mikel stated.
"Henderson is a leader, he's a hardworking player. Sorry to the Nigerian fans I didn't pick Ndidi."
The Vitória de Guimarães midfielder admitted that he supported Manchester United when he was growing up, but would be willing to join other good English Premier League clubs if the opportunity presents itself.
"I used to be a Manchester United fan but I would not say I want to play for Manchester United, any good club I'll grab it with both hands.
"I don't have one particular club I want to play for, most of the clubs in the Premier League are good clubs even Everton, Tottenham, Chelsea," said Mikel.
Prior to the suspension of sporting activities in Portugal, Mikel had featured in 18 matches across all competitions for Vitória de Guimarães, including five in the group stage of the Europa League.
