Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that English Premier League club Aston Villa are working on a deal to sign Nigeria-eligible youngster Ruben Shakpoke but face competition from abroad.
Norwich City's Head of Recruitment has confirmed that the prolific striker is definitely moving on to pastures new in the summer transfer window.
It is understood that Shakpoke turned down the chance to sign a scholarship deal with the Canaries.
Aston Villa are in talks with the attacker's camp over a deal, as well as PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands, and if all goes well, he would be added to their U18 squad for the 2020-2021 season.
Two seasons back, Shakpoke netted an incredible eleven goals in one game against Watford U15s.
Blessed with a powerful shot, pacy, strong and good dribbling skills, he was invited to an England U15 training camp last year and handed the number 9 jersey.
Shakpoke made his debut for the Canaries in the U18 Premier League in November 2019 while still a schoolboy.
