Ventspils glovesman Dele Alampasu is back into Super Eagles reckoning after three years in the international wilderness as a result of being inactive at club level.
The former Golden Eaglets star acknowledged that Nigeria's next two opponents Ivory Coast and Tunisia are strong footballing nations but the Super Eagles have a higher pedigree than their rivals.
Being friendly games, Alampasu pointed out that it's not all about winning but the team coming together again after international fixtures were called off for several months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On the chances of the Super Eagles beating the Elephants and Carthage Eagles next month, Alampasu told allnigeriasoccer.com : "Ivory Coast and Tunsia are strong nations but Nigeria is the giant of Africa so when a strong team and a giant team meet, it will be decided on the field.
"A friendly game is not do or die, you know international football was on hold for a while so we are just trying to come back together again.
"We are not going there to 'kill each other', it's football. May the best team win."
In the current season, Alampasu has nine appearances under his belt for Ventspils, logging 810 minutes in all competitions.
