Fulham are out of the relegation zone - albeit on goal difference - after playing out a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United in a late kickoff at St James' Park on Saturday.
As for team news, Nigerian trio Tosin Adarabioyo, Ola Aina and Ademola Lookman were picked by manager Scott Parker in his starting lineup.
Fulham were rewarded for their dominant first half display after Matt Ritchie scored a bizarre own goal in the 42nd minute.
A header from Adarabioyo was going off target but Ritchie's face diverted the ball into his own net.
Barcelona legend Gary Lineker aimed a dig at the Magpies number 11 shortly after his blunder gifted Fulham the opener.
Writing on Twitter, Lineker said : "Matt Ritchie has just scored one of the most comical own goals I think I’ve ever witnessed. Even @alanshearer couldn’t fight a chuckle after 4 replays".
Fulham found themselves in a very awkward position after their key defender Joachim Andersen was sent off for fouling Callum Wilson in the box.
Wilson made it 1-1 from the spot in the 64th minute to turn the game on its head as long as the Cottagers were concerned.
The visitors almost found a moment to get back in front when Lookman got his shot away and stung the goalkeeper's palms in the 68th minute.
The sending off changed the course of the game but Fulham were able to hold on to secure a point.
