Newcastle United take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Friday night with four games remaining in the Premier League this season.
Magpies boss Steve Bruce faced the cameras on Thursday before the trip to LE2 7FL and one of the questions the former Manchester United captain addressed was whether he was envious of Leicester City.
The Foxes have been very good at recruitment, bringing in the right players to replace the likes of N'Golo Kanté, Riyad Mahrez, Ben Chilwell and Danny Drinkwater who moved on to pastures new.
Bruce namechecked Wilfred Ndidi as he discussed the excellent signings made by Leicester City over the last few years.
"I'm not envious, I'm delighted for Brendan, I'm delighted for a British manager," Bruce said at the press conference monitored by allnigeriasoccer.com.
"They have recruited very, very well, you know the players that they brought in and I can give you four or five have all hit the ground running.
"The boy Fofana, Soyuncu, Ndidi and Tielemans. They are very, very good players who have hit the ground running and of course they have got an excellent manager in Brendan who year after year he keeps producing these teams."
Since moving to the Premier League in January 2017, Ndidi has caught the eye with his tackling qualities, positional awareness and defensive prowess.
