Rangers coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst singled out Joe Aribo for special praise following the midfielder's goalscoring display in a Scottish Premiership match against Hearts on Sunday afternoon.
After Alfredo Morelos had put the champions in front in the ninth minute, the Super Eagles star doubled the advantage four minutes later.
A 60-yard pass from Connor Goldson right over the top was cushioned down by Aribo and then the number 17 smashed a left-footed shot past Hearts goalie Craig Gordon.
The versatile midfielder has scored three goals in his last four league games and forced an own goal in last weekend's home win vs Dundee FC.
The Dutch manager was asked about Aribo's form at the moment, the way the midfielder has been playing since he replaced Steven Gerrard in the Rangers dugout.
Van Bronckhorst told Rangers TV : "[Joe] is very dynamic and we talk a lot with him and all of the midfielders about when to be available in the build-up and then when to be attacking the spaces the opponent leaves.
"So he is doing better and better, and it was a very important role he had today and, of course, with the goal he helped us all."
St. Johnstone are the next opponents for Joe Aribo and his teammates, with the Premiership clash starting at Ibrox Stadium at 2045 hours on Wednesday.
