Republic of Ireland U21s manager Jim Crawford has announced his roster for the European U21 Championship qualifier against Sweden later this month, with four Nigeria-eligible players making the squad.
St. Patrick's Athletic goalkeeper David Odumosu, Festy Ebosele (Derby County), JJ Kayode (Rotherham United) and Mipo Odubeko (Doncaster Rovers, on loan from West Ham United) are part of the squad.
Odubeko has presumably accepted a call-up to play for Republic of Ireland U21s after turning down previous invitations due to his omission from the squad for the U17 EURO in 2019.
The former Manchester United schoolboy has not been involved in a Republic of Ireland selection since 2019.
Ebosele was involved with Republic of Ireland at U16, U17 and U19 levels before earning a promotion to the U21s at the end of last season.
So far this season, the 19-year-old has featured 30 times for Derby County's first team in all competitions, scoring two goals.
Lagos-born striker Kayode is in line to add to his seven competitive appearances for Ireland U21s while Odumosu will be hoping to make his debut for the age group.
Republic of Ireland travel to the Boras Arena to take on Sweden in their U21 EURO qualifier on Tuesday, March 29.
