Terem Moffi netted his 17th league goal of the season in OGC Nice's 2-1 win over Rennes yesterday.
According to OGC Nice's official website, the goal moves him into the third position of African players with the most goals in the top 5 leagues in Europe since the 2020/2021 season when he moved to Ligue 1.
The Super Eagles striker got his goal in the 71st minute when he dribbled past Rennes goalkeeper, Steve Mandanda to double Nice's lead.
The goal ended his four-game goal drought, the longest he has gone without scoring this season in the league, having failed to score against PSG, Brest, Clermont Foot and Troyes
Moffi's latest goal takes his tally to 39 in the Ligue 1, making him the third most prolific African goalscorer in the top 5 leagues in Europe since his debut
Only Mohamed Salah (63 with Liverpool in the Premier League) and Victor Osimhen (46 with Napoli in Serie A) have scored more league goals since Moffi made his debut in the French topflight.
Moffi is currently on loan with Nice from Lorient and has netted 7 goals and registered 2 assists in 15 appearances for the Aiglons.
