Agent: Rubin Kazan Are Interested In Odemwingie
A report in the Russian media quoting David Omigie, who claims to represent West Brom forward Peter Odemwingie, says they are studying a proposal from Rubin Kazan.

Following the departure of Sergei Davydov to Dynamo Moscow in the winter transfer market, the first priority of the Rubin Kazan chiefs to replace Davydov in attack is thought to be Zenit St. Petersburg's Aleksandr Bukharov.

But should the Tatarstan outfit fail to land their primary target, attention will quickly shift to ex Lokomotiv Moscow front-man Peter Odemwingie.

And the 31- year - old's representative, David Omigie is not hiding the fact that Rubin Kazan are courting his client.

Omigie told izvestia.ru : ''Rubin wanted to buy Peter last winter. But Odemwingie played fantastic football in England and West Brom was able to convince him to stay.

''Now in view of the situation we are considering employment options for Peter. At the moment we have a few suggestions, including from the Kazan club.''

It would be recalled that Peter Odemwingie tried to force a move to Queens Park Rangers on transfer deadline day without the permission of West Brom. He later criticized the leadership of the club as well as the supporters.
