David Alaba Scores Ninth Fastest Champions League Goal
Bayern Munich's David Alaba, who has Nigerian blood flowing in his veins, scored after 26 seconds in the Champions League quarter - final first leg clash against Juventus played on Tuesday evening.<br /><br />Alaba's goal ,which is in ninth position, is amongst the top ten fastest goals scored in Europe's elite club competition. <br /><br />Former Dutch international Roy Makaay is credited with the quickest goal scored in the Champions League. <br /><br />Makaay netted after 10.12 seconds for Bayern Munich in the 2 - 1 victory over Real Madrid on March 7, 2007.<br /><br />20 - year - old David Alaba has scored in each of his last three games for club and country. <br /><br />The wing back was on target in Austria's 6 - 0 defeat of Faroe Islands and netted against Republic of Ireland four days later.<br /><br />Including tonight's match at the Allianz-Arena, the Austria international has made 7 appearances in the Champions League.<br /><br /><i>Photo Credit: uefa.com</i><br /><br /><br /><br />
