According to leaks gathered by our Editorial staff, Maltese Premier League club Floriana are in pole position to land the Anglo-Nigerian striker Onome Sodje.<br /><br />On the back of a successful season with the <i>Greens</i>, the club's hierarchy are interested in renewing Sodje's contract which expired at the end of the season. Negotiations with the forward on a new deal started immediately the season ended.<br /><br />Some unnamed clubs in the Island Nation and overseas have made enquiries on the former Oxford United man, so Floriana must act fast before other interested clubs poach the striker.<br /><br />Onome Sodje averaged a goal every two games with Floriana in the 2011 - 2012 season.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
