Funso Ojo has been handed the number 23 jersey by Beerschot.<br /><br />For the last four years, the Belgian club had not assigned the number to any player in honor of Fran&ccedil;ois Sterchele, who died in a car accident four years ago.<br /><br />The 21-year-old Belgium youth-teamer made his debut for Beerschot on Saturday in the 7-0 hammering of the <span style="">provincial side KFCO Wilrijk</span>. Ojo celebrated his debut by scoring in the second half.<br /><br />The midfielder is under contract with Beerschot until the end of the 2015 - 2016 season.<br /><br /><br /><br />
