JOSEPH YOBO Could Take Pay Cut To Force Fenerbahce Move

According to HSpor Turkey, there are three options Fenerbahçe are considering to bring Nigeria's skipper Joseph Yobo to Istanbul this summer. Recall that the 31-year-old central defender has spent the last two seasons on loan at Turkey's vice-champions.

Fenerbahçe are doing everything possible to hasten Yobo's transfer as they are fine-tuning strategies for next season's UEFA Champions League and league participation. The club's management see him as a very important player in their quest for a successful campaign in both competitions.

Negotiations between Fenerbahçe and Everton are ongoing, but the British club is refusing to reduce its three million pounds valuation of the central defender. A transfer fee Fenerbahçe are not prepared to pay because the 31-year-old is near the twilight of his career and has no re-sale value.

Now, these are the options available to the management of the Yellow Canaries, which has been discussed with Joseph Yobo:

Option 1: Sign Yobo on loan again from Everton. Pay him 2.35 million euros as wages, and pay Everton a rental fee of 400,000 euros.

Option 2: Manage to convince Everton to accept the club's bid for Yobo. Offer him a two-year contract with option of an additional season, and pay the Super Eagle 2.35 million euros as annual wages.

Option 3: Fenerbahçe accept and pay the 3 million pounds valuation of Joseph Yobo. Yobo must then make a sacrifice and accept annual wages of 1.3m euros.
