My Agent Convinced Me To Join Kasimpasa - KALU UCHE

Nigeria international Kalu Uche at the beginning of the season joined Turkish Super League side Kasimpasa. With 8 goals in 14 starts, the 30 - year - old is the second highest goalscorer in the championship, one goal behind Galatasaray's Umut Bulut.

Last season, the Super Eagle played for two clubs - Espanyol and Neuchatel Xamax . While on summer vacation and thinking of the next step, Uche's Spanish agent convinced him to join Kasimpasa.

''When the first transfer offer came from Kasimpasa, I was on vacation with my family in Nigeria. My agent called and said it was an offer from Turkey. Kasimpasa at the end of last season rose to the Super League, and want to build a good team. I talked about the team's goal of forward-looking projects and European trophies.

''A few days after my agent told me and after thinking about it, I decided to accept the offer. My manager had enough positive words for me to accept the offer, so I did not have to consult another (Nigerian) player,'' Uche was quoted as saying by haber.stargazete.com.

Having played in Spain for Espanyol and Almeria, Uche spoke on the differences between La Liga and the Turkish championship.

''To me, the most qualified and demanding league is the Spanish League. I think the UK has a league even better. There is a much faster and paced football games. In the meantime, technically there is a big difference to me . Of course, the Turkish League has evolved so much in recent years, many high-quality foreign players began to play here, but playing football in Spain is very different. That's why I would not be quite right to compare the two leagues. Because football is played at a different level in Spain,'' the ex Enyimba star said.

Uche scored two goals at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. He says playing in the tournament is the highlight of his career.
