25-year-old&nbsp; attacking midfielder Chinedu Ede has signed a four-year contract with Mainz 05, the official website of the Bundesliga club has reported.<br /><br />Ede comes from Union Berlin in the second division, with whom he played 80 matches for and scored 11 goals (18 assists).<br /><br />The ex Germany youth-teamer is relieved that the transfer to Mainz finally materialized after it was thought to have derailed.<br /><br />Ede told the official website, mainz05.de: ''This is a great opportunity for me. I am convinced that this is exactly the right move for me. Also fits all the trappings. Every player wants to compete with the best and play in front of more viewers.''<br /><br />A European champion with the German youth -team in 2009, Ede is still eligible to play for Nigeria though his father. He joins the former Lillestrom hero Anthony Ujah at the Coface Arena.<br /><br /><br /><br />
