Nigeria youth international Lucky Omeruo's hope of landing a deal with Eredivisie campaigners ADO Den Haag remains uncertain.
Dutch media has reported that due to the high wages paid to non European Union players, thought to be a minimum of 300,000 euros per season (equivalent of =N=60 million ), ADO Den Haag might encounter difficulties if they decide to offer him a contract.
''Lucky Omeruo will be a difficult story. He does not come from the EU ( Nigeria , ed) and it will be very difficult for us to pay his salary, ".voetbalzone.nl quoted Maurice Steijn as saying.
Lucky Omeruo, younger brother of Super Eaglers stopper Kenneth, played for 45 first half minutes in a pre - season friendly against FC Oss on Wednesday, July 10.
The teenager is currently on the books of domestic side Bayelsa United.
