Published: September 09, 2013
Aston Villa Anglo - Nigerian attacker Gabby Agbonlahor has been subjected to a number of death threats after a harsh tackle on Louis Tomlinson during Stiliyan Petrov's testimonial at Celtic Park in Glasgow.
Louis Tomlinson had to be replaced following the tackle by Agbonlahor and left the field visibly battered.
Fans of One Direction Band, which Louis Tomlinson belongs to, took to social media and sent death threats to Gabby Agbonlahor.
'' It was one of those things. I'll apologise to Louis when we meet up with everybody after the game.
"I know he enjoyed playing in the game and it's fantastic that he took time out to be here, and the same with everyone else who played,''Agbonlahor was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
The game was played to raise money for the foundation of Stiliyan Petrov, who had to retire in 2012 after he was diagnosed with leukemia.
