Emmanuel Ibok Edet, 24, took the walk of shame when his team Floriana lost at home to Rabat Ajax last weekend.

Thus, the former Nigeria youth international has been handed a one - match ban by the Malta Federation Disciplinary Committee, his second suspension in the 2013 - 2014 campaign.

Emmanuel Edet will not travel with the rest of his teammates for the away game with table toppers Birkirkara on January 5.

The defender has made 15 appearances in the Malta Premier League.

He was cautioned in matches against  Qormi, Hibernians, Balzan, Sliema Wanderers and Tarxien Rainbows.
