Peter Utaka Silences Critics With Champions League Goal
Published: March 12, 2014
Peter Utaka silenced his critics after scoring his first goal of the season in the Asian Champions League clash between Beijing Guoan and FC Seoul at the Workers Stadium on Tuesday.
Before that tie, the Nigeria international was heavily criticized by a section of the media for being lazy on the pitch.
The attacker - once of OB Odense and Dalian Aerbin - opened scoring for Beijing Guoan in the 19th minute only for Yo-Han Ko to level the scoreline with 18 minutes of normal time remaining.
Beijing Guoan have 2 points from their first two matches in the top club competition in Asia, having played a 1 - 1 draw with Japanese opponents Sanfrecce Hiroshima in their opening fixture.
The capital team will entertain Central Coast Mariners (Australia) next Wednesday.
