Jude Nworuh Disputes Red Card Against Hobro
Published: May 02, 2014
AC Horsens attacker Jude Nworuh, 24, took the walk of shame in the 2 - 0 defeat to Hobro on Thursday evening.
The Nigerian was dismissed by the referee in the 76th minute following a confrontation with Jesper Boge.
But he has told the official website of the Danish First Division outfit that the official, Morten Krogh was overzealous in brandishing the red card.
“ It was a fifty fifty-ball, and I was a little ahead of the opposition, so I tried to shield him off, and he thought that I hit him in the head with his elbow.
“As I see it, it was the battle for the ball, and the expulsion was wrong. Hobro players have been over to tell me that they did not think it was a red card,” Jude Nworuh told achorsens.dk.
In their next fixture, AC Horsens, who are fourth in the standings, will lock horns with Fredericia.
