Loyal Rabiu Ali Insists Kano Pillars Will Rise Again
Published: May 10, 2014
Nigeria international Rabiu Ali has resisted the urge to proclaim that Kano Pillars are having a bad run in the Glo Premier League.
Statistically, the 2013 champions are the fourth worst team in the topflight, having garnered 11 points from their first 10 matches.
And the sticking point is that Masu Gida, as they are fondly called by their admirers, have drawn most matches they ought to have won, meaning they have not been decisive compared to last season.
“We are still at our best. That is the nature of football but if we continue as we played against Crown FC, I am sure we will make a good comeback.
“We had some injured players in the squad in the past but for now we are stable.
“Before the end of the first stanza, I see us topping the league. In fact all the players have impressed me this season because we do everything as a team, ” Pele told allnigeriasoccer.com.
27 - year - old Rabiu Ali made the ceremonial African Nations Championship Team of the Tournament.
