Beijing Guoan Set To Show Exit Door To Peter Utaka
Published: June 07, 2014
Beijing Guoan have been left frustrated with the lack of goals from Peter Utaka since the start of the season and his name has been put on the transfer market.
The capital club signed the Nigeria international on a two - and - a - half year deal last summer from Dalian Aerbin.
And in his first 12 matches for Beijing Guoan, he lived up to his billing one of the top strikers in the championship by netting 7 times.
In 2014, Peter Utaka’s goals have dried up, with his only strike in the Super League coming against Hangzhou last month.
Beijing Guoan can not unilaterally terminate the 30 - year - old’s contract as they have to pay him up to 3 million Euros as compensation, which is his total wages for the next one - and - half years that he’s under contract.
The out - of - favour Super Eagles forward has represented teams in Belgium, Denmark and Croatia in the past.
