Godfrey Oboabona Undergoes Individual Training
Published: June 20, 2014
Former Sunshine Stars skipper Godfrey Oboabona is clinging to faint hope that he may feature in the win or bust clash with Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday at 1900 hours local time.
The cheering news for the player, technical crew and all supporters of the Super Eagles is that the central defender had an individual session with the physiotherapists on Thursday evening.
While the rest of the squad were training at Federal University of Mato Grosso, Godfrey Oboabona just walked around the pitch.
The Super Eagles will have their last training session on Friday at Arena Pantanal .
It is assumed that skipper Joseph Yobo will replace Oboabona at central defense if he fails a fitness test hours leading up to the match.
