DONE DEAL: Portland Timbers Snap Up Fanendo Adi On Three - Year Deal

After weeks of negotiations, allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Portland Timbers have completed the permanent signing of Nigerian striker Fanendo Adi from FC Copenhagen.
The 23 - year - old committed his future to the Oregon based outfit after he appended his signature to a three - year contract which keeps him at Providence Park until June 30, 2017.
Fanendo Adi initially joined Portland Timbers on loan from the Denmark powerhouse early May, and has become one of the important players on the roster, netting 4 goals(2 assists) in 6 appearances.
It is understood that the former Dynamo Kiev man turned down the chance to sign for teams based in Portugal, Turkey, Germany and Holland this summer, which ends his five - year association with European clubs.
The lanky forward previously played for teams in Slovakia (AS Trencin) and Ukraine (Dynamo Kiev, Metalurh Donetsk and Tavriya).
