Published: July 30, 2014
Shanghai Shenxin new signing Peter Utaka scored on his debut as they fell 1- 3 to rivals Shanghai East Asia in the 17th round of matches in the Chinese Super League.
In the encounter staged at the Jinshan Soccer Stadium (Shanghai) on Wednesday, the Nigeria international opened his goal account for Shanghai Shenxin from the penalty spot in the 4th minute.
But Shanghai Shenxin threw away that lead just before the first half interval after a goal by McBreen .
Two late goals from Imad Khalili (89th) and Wu Lei (in injury time) decided the outcome of the meeting.
Peter Utaka must prove during his loan spell at Shanghai Shenxin that his goals have not dried up or he could be sold before his lucrative contract with Beijing Guoan expires late 2015.
12th on the table Shanghai Shenxin will travel to face Guangzhou R&F, who pay the wages of Aaron Samuel, in their next fixture this coming Sunday.
