Leke James says Aalesund Will Fight Tooth And Nail To Avoid Relegation
Published: August 17, 2014
Leke James continued his purple patch by scoring his fifth goal in seven matches in all competitions as Aalesund defeated Haugesund 3 - 0 in the Norwegian Premier League on Saturday.
Since the highly rated starlet went to Norway in search of the proverbial Golden Fleece in 2012, he has reached his best form in the last few games, even though AaFK are battling tooth and nail to stay afloat.
“The target is to remain in the League in the next 10 games. Yes my form is going in the right direction...all thanks to God and my parents who never relent in their prayers over me.
“As you know this season has been a tough one, we’ve been struggling earlier but we’re working hard to get off the relegation zone and finish off in a better position,” Leke James said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The Color Line Stadium outfit, who are 12th on the 16 - team table, have played non stop in the Tippeligaen since 2007.
In their next fixture, they are away to pace - setters Molde, who pay the wages of attacker Daniel Chima.
