Published: November 14, 2014
Israeli Premier League side Beitar Jerusalem have unilaterally terminated the contract binding them with former Nigeria youth international Sani Emmanuel, less than one month after the capital signed agreed a one 1+2 year deal with the striker.
Coach Menachem Koretzky has declared the Golden Ball winner at the 2009 Fifa Under 17s surplus to requirement, and later recommended to the owner of the club, Eli Tabib, that his contract should be terminated.
There was a clause inserted into the contract Sani Emmanuel signed with Beitar Jerusalem stipulating that the agreement between both parties could be shredded without the club parting with a single euro as financial compensation.
The 21 - year - old played his only game for Beitar Jerusalem against Maccabi Netanya, lasting 24 minutes on the pitch when he was introduced in the second half.
It is understood that Sani Emmanuel is puzzled with the latest development.
