Kwara United Striker Samuel Adegbenro Testing With Viking
Published: January 15, 2015
Suleiman Abdullahi and Samuel Adegbenro will be hoping to sign a contract with Norwegian Premier League team Viking FK before the close of the winter transfer market.
Manager Kjell Jonevret has been observing the talented Nigerian strikers at close quarters since Tuesday, before he recommends to his superiors whether they deserve to be offered a deal.
But in the first few days of training, Abdullahi and Adegbenro, who last turned out for Kwara United, have impressed the technical crew, scoring and creating several goals in practice matches.
The main sticky point is Viking can only accommodate nine foreigners on their payroll, per Norway Football Federation regulations, and the Stavanger - based side now have seven.
One of the foreigners is former Sunshine Stars forward Osita Henry Chikere, who has a contract with Viking until December 2016.
