EXCLUSIVE : Dolphins Go For Ex Golden Eaglets Glovesman Bassey Akpan
Published: February 13, 2015
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that former Golden Eaglets goalkeeper Bassey Akpan could make a return to the Nigeria Professional Football League, fours years after departing the shores of the country in search of the proverbial golden fleece.
The 31 - year - old has held preliminary talks with 2014 Federation Cup finalist, Dolphins of Port Harcourt, over a contract.
Bassey Akpan is a free agent after his contract was not renewed by Vietnamese team Hoàng Anh Gia Lai F.C, where he spent three seasons.
Dolphins are weighing up whether to sign the glovesman but the stumbling block is that the Liberation Stadium outfit are experiencing dwindling margins.
Bassey Akpan previously defended the colours of Bayelsa United, Shooting Stars, Kwara United and Heartland before he traveled overseas.
