Emmanuel Emenike was criticized by supporters of Fenerbahce in the wake of their 2 - 1 loss to Akhisar Belediyespor on Monday night.
In the 21st round tie, the Nigeria international missed several scoring opportunities, and in the end the Yellow Canaries paid dearly for the fluffed chances, with their first loss at home in the Super Lig for more than two years.
The attacker was targeted on social media, with a fan writing a poem to mock him on Twitter.
The 27 - year - old is still searching for his first goal at the Å�ükrü SaracoÄ�lu Stadyumu since August.
The top four teams in the Super Lig are all based in Istanbul, but the defending champions occupy the third position with 46 points, two less than leaders Galatasaray.
