Published: April 14, 2015
Jerry Mbakogu is racing against the clock to be fit for Carpi’s next game in the Serie B against Brescia.
The Nigerian forward, who has struggled with injuries in recent weeks, suffered a minor knee injury in last weekend’s clash with Cittadella.
Now team medics are working round the clock to get him fit for Saturday’s game at Stadio Sandro Cabassi .
So far this season, Jerry Mbakogu has recorded 26 appearances in the second - tier, averaging 0.5 goals per game.
Carpi will be promoted to the Serie A if they garner eight points from their last seven games, assuming the teams below them win their remaining matches in the division.
