Asisat Oshoala Surprised To Make Women Footballer of the Year Shortlist

Liverpool striker Asisat Oshoala has spoken of her joy after learning that she made the shortlist of the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year Award.
But the 20 - year - old has admitted that she was pleasantly surprised to be nominated for the prestigious award.
“I worked hard last year but I am surprised to be nominated. I feel very appreciated and I give God the glory,” she told thenff.com.
The ex Rivers Angels poster girl penned a two - year contract with Liverpool in January.
She has averaged 0.5 goals per game since she made her debut for the Women’s Super League champions.
