Sylvester Igboun : Cristiano Ronaldo Wants To Earn More
Published: April 30, 2015
Sylvester Igboun has shot down suggestions that he is
underpaid by FC Midtjylland adding that Real Madrid’s icon Cristiano
Ronaldo would like to earn more than his current pay packet.
Danish media extensively reported on Wednesday that the salary structure at the Jutland based club does not favour the Nigerian players and winger Rilwan Hassan went as far as saying that he suspects his agent is working in the interest of FCM.
“I think I get what I deserve, and it’s honest talk. Of course I would like to make more money, but who would not?
“Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the top earners in football, but he will then probably also want to earn even more, ” says Igboun to Ekstra Bladet.
He added : “FC Midtjylland has over the years always treated us fair. I think it’s important to say.
’I do not know what the others in the squad take home, but I am pretty sure that we African players will get a good salary that is appropriate to our role in the squad and the team. ”
Sylvester Igboun concluded by saying FC Midtjylland did not force any agent on him.
