NPFL Returnee Ike ThankGod Eyes Win Against Ifeanyi Ubah FC
Published: August 02, 2015
Abia Warriors defender Ike ThankGod expects the Umuahia side to pick up at least a point when they clash with Ifeanyi Ubah in the Nigeria Professional Football League on Sunday.
The former Nigeria international would be playing his second game for Abia Warriors if he is selected to face the Nnewi side.
“Our expectation is that we can win this game. If we get a draw, it is still good but we came here to win,” Ike ThankGod told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I am now 100 percent fit because I have already played a match.
“I don’t think I’ll be keeping an eye on any of their strikers because all their players are new to me and they are good players.”
Abia Warriors sit seventh on the table with 29 points in the kitty after the first stanza while their opponents Ifeanyi Ubah FC are a position behind.
