Teammate Defends Ahmed Musa After Failing To Score In Third Straight Game
Published: August 09, 2015
CSKA Moscow defender Mário Fernandes has leapt to the defense of Ahmed Musa after the striker fired blanks in the Premier League clash against Amkar Perm on Sunday afternoon.
The Nigeria international has not found the back of the net in the league since the opening day of the season but saved the Muscovites from exiting the Champions League on Wednesday by netting a brace against Sparta Prague.
“He is a great striker, but to score in every match impossible,” Mário Fernandes told championat.com.
“He scored twice in a very important game in the Champions League. Today,it did not turn out well.”
Ahmed Musa has started and completed all the four matches contested by CSKA Moscow in the Premier League this term.
