Uche Ikpeazu has dedicated his first goal in the colours of Port Vale to the coaching staff of the League One club led by Rob Page.
The Dream Team VI target broke his duck in Tuesday night’s 2 - 2 draw with Swindon Town and he has insisted that the Valiants deserved to come away with a share of the spoils despite scoring a late, late equalizer.
“I am dedicating the goal to manager Rob Page and assistant manager Paul Bodin, they have put a lot of faith into me and it was great to get off the mark, ” Uche Ikpeazu said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I am happy with the draw, it’s not about me as long as the team gets a result. Swindon are arguably one of the best teams in this league so it was a great result.
“We deserved the draw, we worked tirelessly as a team. ”
The 20 - year - old Ikpeazu, who spent his formative years at the Reading academy, is on loan at Port Vale from Watford until January 17, 2016.
