Published: September 10, 2015
According to information gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com’s editorial staff, the future of Christian Obodo could be in one of the Persian Gulf countries.
An unnamed Saudi Arabian Professional Football League side have set the wheels in motion to sign the Nigeria international, who remained a free agent when the summer transfer window was shut.
Though Obodo is out - of - favour with the national team, for the fact that he has defended the colours of the Africa powerhouse in the past, he will not have to undergo trials with the Saudi Arabian club and will sign a deal if he passes a traditional medical.
Right now, the former Fiorentina and Perugia star is in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy undergoing individual training ahead of moving to a new club.
Only last month, the skillful midfielder was issued an Italian passport after spending 14 years in the country, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
