Kelechi Iheanacho Ready To Replace Injured Sergio Aguero
Published: October 17, 2015
Kelechi Iheanacho is ready to step into the big shoes of Sergio Aguero but has admitted that there are several quality players in the Manchester City side.
The injury to the Argentina international, while on international duty, means there are only two out - and - out strikers in the City squad, ahead of their Premier League game against Bournemouth on Saturday.
“It depends on what the manager says and who he chooses,” said Iheanacho to mcfc.co.uk.
“We have a lot of quality players. It depends who the manager decides to start with.
“He has just told me to work hard in training for now and work on the things that I don’t normally do so that when I get my chance he knows he can rely on me.”
Iheanacho has made four appearances for the Citizens in the Premier League in the new season.
