Official : Shola Ameobi Pens Short - Term Deal With Bolton Wanderers

Bolton Wanderers have announced the signing of Nigeria international Shola Ameobi , 34, on a short - term deal following a successful trial.
This puts an end to all speculations surrounding his future, with reports earlier linking him with a possible transfer to Charlton Athletic and other undisclosed clubs in United Kingdom.
Ameobi was a member of the Newcastle United squad that won the Championship in the 2009 - 2010 season, scoring 10 goals in 18 matches and previously spent time on loan at Stoke City in the second - tier back in 2007-2008 campaign.
The experienced frontman has been handed the number 26 kit for the duration of his stay at Bolton Wanderers.
The ex Crystal Palace man represented the Super Eagles at the 2014 World Cup, making two appearances off the bench.
