Michael Uchebo Plays Down Boavista Exit Talks
Published: December 27, 2015
Michael Uchebo has reacted to reports in the media that strongly suggested that he could be offloaded by Boavista in the January transfer window.
It is correct that the former VVV Venlo and Cercle Brugge striker has seen his first team opportunities limited in the last two months or so but is hoping to impress new coach of the Panthers, Erwin Sanchez in the second stanza of the Primeira Liga.
“I am still in Boavista, I still have two more years of my contract to run and if I don`t get a new team in January I will stay, ” Uchebo told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I am enjoying my stay in Portugal. Compared to Holland and Belgium, the weather is good, it is not too cold.
“We have a new coach and hopefully in January I will get more game time.”
This website understands that an unnamed club in Germany is monitoring the transfer situation of the Super Eagles striker.
