Exclusive : Raja Casablanca Face MAJOR Stumbling Block In Signing Michael Babatunde
Published: January 12, 2016
Moroccan Botola Pro side Raja Casablanca have less than 24 hours to complete the signing of Nigeria international Michael Babatunde, with the transfer window set to close on Wednesday night.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the major stumbling block being faced by The Green is that they have four foreigners in their first team - Osaguona Ighodaro ( Nigeria), Mohammed Awal, Mohammed Yakubu (both Ghana) and Lima Mabidi (Democratic Republic of Congo) - and can’t include Babatunde in the squad.
To find a way around the regulations, Raja higher - ups have planned to terminate the contract of Mohammed Yakubu but the Ghana international is proving difficult.
Their Plan B is to remove Yakubu’s name from the squad list earlier sent to the Moroccan Federation and replace him with Michael Babatunde.
The Super Eagles midfielder underwent a medical at a hospital in Casablanca on Monday morning.
