Celtic,Cardiff City Among Clubs Competing For Portland Timbers Star Fanendo Adi

A plethora of clubs in Europe are keen on landing the signature of Portland Timbers star Fanendo Adi in the January transfer window.
Danish newspaper BT Sporten has reported on its online edition that Celtic, Rubin Kazan, Cardiff City, Werder Bremen and Sporting Lisbon have registered their interest in Fanendo Adi.
The most concrete interest so far has come from Russian side Rubin Kazan, whose bid of $2m was turned down by the Timbers.
It is believed that the American champions will be forced to sell the Nigerian if an interested club agree to pay a minimum of $3.5m asking price to sign him.
Chinese club Shanghai SIPG have also been credited with an interest for Adi, who is tied to Portland Timbers until 2017.
