Dream Team Defender Mustapha Abdullahi Fails To Bag Legia Warsaw Contract
Published: February 16, 2016
Nigeria U23 international Mustapha Abdullahi will have to continue his search for a European club after an unsuccessful trial with Polish powerhouse Legia Warsaw.
The ex-Flying Eagles star trained with Legia Warsaw for two weeks and took part in friendly matches with the Reserve Team.
After Saturday’s test game between the reserves and Jagiellonia Bialystok II, the decision makers at The Militarians decided against offering Mustapha Abdullahi a contract.
That verdict will be a big blow to the full-back who was named the Man of the Match in the friendly against Lech Poznan II.
Abdullahi recently trained with 2 Bundesliga side Arminia Bielefeld but nothing came out of it.
