Olympiakos Turn Down 15 Million Euros Bid For Brown Ideye
Published: March 07, 2016
Greek champions Olympiakos turned down a €15 million from a Chinese club who were interested in landing the signature of Brown Ideye in the January transfer window.
According to gazzetta.gr, the offer brought by the Nigeria international was rejected because the Reds could not find a replacement for the striker few days before the close of the window.
Olympiakos would have made a profit of €9.58 million on Ideye if his transfer to China had materialized, having paid €5.42 million to secure his services from West Brom last summer.
Having represented Neuchâtel Xamax, Sochaux and Dynamo Kiev, Ideye joined West Brom in July 2014 and spent only a season with the Baggies before switching to Olympiakos.
