Olatunbosun Brace Sinks Akwa United In Lagos

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos continued its impressive run in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with a thumping 3-0 win over Akwa United Football Club of Uyo on Saturday at the Agege Township Stadium.
Lagos-based NPFL lovers were thrilled with beautiful display of Football on Saturday night as they witnessed another resounding victory from coach Fidelis Ilechukwu’s men courtesy of a brace from in-form left-winger, Sikiru Olatunbosun and teenage striker, Stephen Odey.
The Lagos outfit began the match day 14 encounter with the first kick of the ball. The visitors were awarded the first free-kick of the game following a foul on Ubong Ekpai but they failed to make it count.
MFM FC’s diminutive midfielder, Onuwa Chukwuka made a whole lot of difference in the middle of the park with precise passes and dribbles while former Nigeria under 20 midfield maestro, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi and power playing Shola Brossa imposed their authority in the midfield.
Olatunbosun broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute with a fine right-footed shot off an assist from Onuwa, the goal sent fans at the Agege Stadium into jubilation mood.
The Olukoya Boys continued their brilliant performance in the second half with under 23 invitee, Odey scoring the second goal with a superb header in the 64th minute.
Olatunbosun put the game beyond the Promise Keepers from Uyo as he completed his brace in the 83rd minute with another sublime finish.
The game ended with the Olukoya Boys recording their second consecutive home clean sheet with a 3-0 triumph over Akwa United FC who are yet to claim a point in their last four NPFL matches.
MFM FC now sit in third spot on the league table with 22 points from 14 games.
