Dundee United And Edward Ofere Go Their Separate WaysDundee United have embarked on cost-cutting measures following their demotion from the Scottish Premiership and will not renew the contracts of eight players in the first team at the end of the 2015-2016 season.

One of the players shown the exit door is Nigerian striker Edward Ofere, who joined The Tangerines in February on a short-term deal.

Ofere played 10 games for Dundee United in the top-flight and was on target in the 2-1 loss to city rivals Dundee FC on Bank Holiday Monday.

The 30-year-old wore the jersey of Inverness Caledonian Thistle before his shift to Boluspor in Turkey in 2015.

He has also turned out for Malmo, Lecce, Trelleborgs FF, FC Vestsjælland and Sogndal.
